An interesting last weekend and apologies for not having provided a podcast last week, it just got a little bit hectic and we couldn’t find the time.

It won’t happen again! In fact we will try and do an extra one at some point in order to catch up.

This weeks podcast is about the recent UPC 8-ball Pool Championships held in Great Yarmouth. A good weekend of action, just a shame it was not live!

Visit UPC-Pool for more information or there is a decent sized forum thread over at Cue Club International, I haven’t read it so can’t comment on the quality of the posts.

In addition this episode also discusses Ali Carter’s recent win in the Welsh Open snooker final where he beat Joe Swail and of course the up coming live event from Peckham.

The live event should be a cracker, John Kelly takes on Tony Halpin for some pocket money - £10,000 per man! Best of 35 frames World Rules 8-ball pool action. It is free to watch so get over to CueSport TV.

This podcast includes false information-what happened was the Queen’s players were waiting for a substancial amount of time for the presentation, but as they were on a tight schedule to get the train for the flight home and the presentation did not seem to be on any time soon, they proceeded to go to their caravan to pack their things and clear up the caravan. Only two of the Queen’s players managed to make it back in time for the presentation, and they missed it by a matter of a minute or two. All of the players were there for the photograph shortly after. Never would Queen’s refuse to go up for a medal(especially gold!)-it was in fact UUC “A”s who refused to go up for their Bronze medal, after getting beat on a playoff in the semi-final against Durham on a controversial technical decision, where one of their players was docked a frame for being at the toilet.

Chris thanks very much for your comment and for clarifying the issue. As I stated in the podcast we didn’t really see what had happened and was basically just speculating. It is my error in naming the incorrect team and once again thanks for the clarity
