The China Open started this morning (7:30am in the UK) with the Wild Card round.

Ricky Walden, who won his first ranking title in Shanghai earlier in the year, will be looking to make it two-from-two in China. He has made an excellent start in the Wild card round by beating Cao Kaisheng 5-0.
The biggest upset of the day so far was Chinese wild card Tang Jun defeating Championship League winner Judd Trump 5-3 this morning.
The other two matches played this morning in the Beijing University Students Gymnasium were also split:
- Cao Yupeng 2-5 Stuart Pettman
- Yu Delu 5-3 Rod Lawler
The rest of the wild card round will be completed today with the following matches live this afternnon.
- Liang Wenbo v Robert Milkins (Qualification match)
- Tian Pengfei v David Gray
- Xiao Guodong v Michael Holt
Joh Parrott, due to compete in this round, had earlier pulled out meaning China’s Cao Xinlong was given a bye through to the first round proper.
