I don’t like to dwell too much on the fact that I am the only person working in this business full-time, but one thing this does mean is that video-on-demand content is always slower to be released than I would like.
However, by changing the way we record things from the live broadcasts it has meant certain matches and tournaments have been quicker to make available, especially where commentary has been recorded on site.
I thought with this post I would use it as a bit of an update post, these are the files that have been added over the last few weeks, some are free and some are only available to subscribers.
Please watch the latest videos and rate and review them if you get chance:

Last year we had a problem in that we were producing so many pool video and snooker video files we just couldn’t find the time to edit and make them available.
This led to a lot of disgruntled users quite rightly wanting to see the most recent tournament. This year will be different and it is our aim to get repeats of any live event available within 4 weeks (it will depend on how much we record!)
In keeping with that theme although the GB 9-ball Tour Midlands Classic was not broadcast live we did record a good 8 hours of coverage.
One of those matches was released today: 9-ball pool video: Chris Melling v Karl Boyes the rest of them will be released this week as well along with a new magazine show called Inside GB9, which we are quite proud of!
I hope everyone had a good Christmas, especially cue sport related. I am sure a myriad of players have received new cues or a new case or the latest gadget.
If you are one of them and are reading this blog then please send me a post and let me know what you got and more importantly what you think of it!
For a little blogging celebration of Christmas I have dug outa video featuring John ‘Mr 400′ Schmidt.
For many of our British visitors and viewers Straight Pool will be a completely new ‘game’ - this discipline of pool was the championship game of choice until the 90’s when 9-ball took over and has been immortalised in the film ‘The Hustler’. The idea is to run as many balls as possible until reaching a set target (usually 150 balls in tournament play).
One of the most highly regarded straight pool players of current times is John ‘Mr 400′ Schmidt, who as his nickname suggests has run over 400 balls continuously. There is a video clip below of John in action at the Derby City Classic.
All this hype about the Mosconi Cup got me thinking, has anyone posted any videos yet? So I thought I would have a look around the web and this is what I came up with.
Official Promo Video for Mosconi XV.
Some handheld work from the crowd in the arena!
So basically not much available at the moment from the 2008 version however there are a lot of videos from the previous editions. Once again last night Earl ‘The Pearl’ Strickland was at his controversial worst telling Mika Immonen he was ‘lucky’ after Mika beat him 5-0, he also proceeded to give ‘The Bird’ to a number of people in the audience.
Last year he had an issue with World 9-ball Champion Daryl Peach, some videos of this are below:
Inside Pool Magazine Interview
Last rack of controversial match
This shows the passion of the Mosconi Cup and why we all want to continue watching it! At CueSport TV we don’t have any Mosconi Cup videos but we do have some videos featuring Tony Drago and Mark Gray, both featuring in this years edition of the Mosconi Cup. I have listed some of them below:
