8-Ball Super Tour Finale this weekend

Rather than regurgitate something that is already written you can see the full press release here: 8-Ball Pool Super Tour Live. We are pleased to be involved in this tour as it means we can provide high quality pool for our viewers including numerous World 8-Ball Champions like Phil Harrison.

On the press release page there is a poll asking who will win this event, it is a tough question as one of the attractive things about this series is that anyone on their day could win. So far from three tournaments we have had three different winners and it is likely we will see a fourth winner this weekend as well.

Throughout the weekend we will be making score updates and results available not on the blog this time but over at our good friends Cue Club International, here you can get involved in live discussion and also make a few more predictions about the event.

The live coverage is available to paid subscribers only from 4pm on Saturday 21st November, the action (that starts at 12pm) will be free until that time, so feel free to dip in and have a look.

I am predicting Simon Ward to win this one, if he plays!

Live Snooker and Live Pool in the Week Ahead

This week is the start of our busiest period of the year so far.

On Thursday we have the first two quarter finals and the first semi final of the TCC Snooker Pro-am. This week the feature match live on Cuesport TV will be Ryan Day v Matthew Stevens. This will be followed up by the semi final where the winner of the aforementioned match will play either Darren Morgan or defending champion Lee Walker.

At the weekend (1st-2nd August) we have the eagerly awaited first tour stop of the 8-ball Super Tour (This was the Oracle Super Tour last year).

The cream of the 8-ball crop come out to play in this £44,000 guaranteed World Rules series. Newly crowned WEPF World 8-ball Pool Champion, Phil Harrison, will be in action plus former champions Gareth Potts, Mick Hill and Carl Morris. In addition to the players of championship pedigree a myriad of tournament winners, like Simon Ward, Tom Cousins, Craig Marsh, Ben Davies, Ben Flack, Steve Munro and Lee Clough will also be in attendance.

Both of these events and more are available as part of a Cuesport TV subscription which can be bought from £2.90.

For further events throughout August visit the Live Event Schedule.

Live Pool from Great Yarmouth

This weekend (20th-22nd Feb) will see CueSport TV’s first live broadcast of 2009. The Universities Pool Council 8-ball Pool Championships will be streamed live online across all three days.

The tournament is the largest in the University pool calendar and it is anticipated that over 450 budding 8-ball players will be involved in the individual and team championships. The man to beat is CueSport TV regular Richard Wharton who is the defending individual champion and number 1 seed.

For the first time in a live event CueSport TV will be providing live graphical scoring and at least two camera angles to enhance the viewing pleasure. In addition live commentary will be available all weekend from Pete Williams and a selection of the players in the venue.

The event is free to all registered CueSport TV viewers, who will be required to login to the channel in order to watch. Joining CueSport TV is also free and simply requires an email address and password.

This is the first of many live events planned for 2009 from the company as it develops it’s portfolio of quality pool and snooker events.
