A big thank you to Pat O’Kane for using this Basingstoke leg of The Legends Tour in memory of my brother John Bowyer who sadly passed away and was good friends with many in the pool world and hopefully remembered as a Legend! Love you John….. xx

hi steve,i know its well over a year ago but i have only just started on computers and dont have contact with the pool world any more,but i have just read your quote about your brother john being remembered at the basingstoke leg of the legends tour and felt compelled to offer my deepest sympathy and regret about johnny passing away.i would like to say what a great friend and mate he was to me in the eighties when we all played what seemed like every week in big and small tournaments all over the uk year in year out.i wasnt the most popular player to say the least whereas john was liked by everyone i think because of his natural charisma,but he always found time to include me in after tournament drinks which to this day meant a great deal to me.suffice to say,even though i dont think he reached his true potential,when the draws were made NOBODY wanted to be playing johnny bowyer,which in my book makes him a true legend.kind regards greg farren.
